Maintaining Your Screwline Vacuum Pump

screwline vacuum pumpDuring the development of the Screwline Vacuum Pump special emphasis was placed on creating a simple maintenance concept. This has been implemented through the cantilevered bearing arrangement, with all maintenance components and controls located on the service side for easy accessibility. This can be taken into consideration when planning the space requirements for your Screwline 250 or 630 and means that less space is needed giving you more flexibility during installation.

The Screwline vacuum pump was designed with industrial applications in mind. The innovative design of this pump was developed to satisfy the reliable, compact and low maintenance vacuum needs of today’s modern operation.

Part of what makes it so easy to maintain your Screwline is that as an air-cooled dry screw vacuum (the only one on the market) the operator doesn’t have to clean a water cooling jacket or heat exchanger. (Although you could modify the pump to be water cooled if you prefer.) Also, there are no high vacuum bearings making it easier to open and clean the Screwline than pumps with double-sided bearings.

The SP-GUARD monitoring system gives the operator the ability to be proactive with maintenance and preventative actions can ensure trouble-free operation. Most Intlvac customers get between 32,000 and 40,000 hours between servicing of their SP250 and 630. That’s somewhere around 4 years!
